2020 Buick Encore GX Trim Levels
The 2020 Buick Encore GX is the latest crossover in the brand’s lineup, slotting between the subcompact Encore and the Envision. While the Encore GX may sound like a trim level of the Encore, it’s a different model altogether. The Encore GX gives small SUV buyers at dealerships like the Forest City Buick dealer even more choices. Sporty styling and efficient use of interior space make this new model even more rewarding.
Buick Encore GX Trim Levels
According to the Buick dealer in Forest City, the 2020 Encore GX comes in three trim levels: Preferred, Select and Essence. Buyers can select one of two turbocharged engines. The base unit is a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine that produces 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). All-wheel-drive models are equipped with a 1.3-liter three-cylinder engine that generates 155 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic gearbox.
EPA-estimated fuel economy for the Encore GX with the base engine and front-wheel drive is rated at 26 mpg city/30 mpg highway.* The 1.3-liter engine returns 30 mpg city/32 mpg highway with front-wheel drive and 26 mpg city/29 mpg highway with all-wheel drive.
We’ll examine the different trim levels and see what each brings to the table.
