The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV marks a significant shift for the Blazer lineup, diverging completely from its conventional counterpart in design and technology. Rather than sharing architecture with the gasoline-powered Blazer, the Blazer EV is redesigned from the ground up. Built on GM’s advanced Ultium electric vehicle platform, it embraces a new design language, featuring dynamic lighting and a modern, spacious interior. The 2024 Blazer EV is available in three trim levels: LT, RS, and SS, although the SS model will have late availability. According to the Asheville Chevrolet dealership, the SS is slated to arrive in the spring of 2024. The Blazer EV launches with a dual-motor setup, offering all-wheel drive with separate motors for the front and rear wheels. In Edmunds testing, it achieved a 320-mile range on a single charge, outperforming many dual-motor electric SUV competitors. A single-motor version with a larger battery is expected, which should offer even more range. The high-performance Blazer EV SS will generate 557 horsepower. Chevrolet claims a zero-to-60 mph time of under 4 seconds.
Motor Trend named the Blazer EV its 2024 SUV of the Year, writing:

The Blazer EV RS leads the lineup with an EPA estimated range of 324 miles, while the all-wheel drive versions of the RS and LT deliver an estimated 279 miles. While the EPA hasn’t yet rated the SS trim, Chevrolet projects its driving range to be approximately 290 miles. The vehicle supports DC fast charging, with Chevrolet claiming it can charge at up to 190 kW, adding approximately 78 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
The 2024 Blazer EV combines space and style, offering ample room in both rows, especially notable in the second row. It features wide door openings and an ideal step-in height. The vehicle offers excellent passenger and cargo space, the latter enhanced by fold-flat rear seats. The cabin’s material quality is high, indicative of Chevy’s evolution in interior design.
Every model of the Blazer EV features a large 17.7-inch infotainment display angled toward the driver and complemented by physical climate controls and a volume knob. An additional 11.0-inch display provides driving information. The system uses GM’s latest infotainment software with Google Built-In, offering access to apps like Google Maps, Waze, and Spotify. The interface is user-friendly, and the navigation system is detailed, including range estimates and charging station suggestions.
