The 2024 GMC Yukon continues to uphold its reputation as a formidable player in the full-size SUV market. The 2024 GMC Yukon is available in five trim levels: SLE, SLT, AT4, Denali, and Denali Ultimate. The Yukon provides a choice between two gasoline V8 engines and a turbocharged diesel six-cylinder engine. Power is sent to the wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission. The folks at the Salem GM dealership tell us that buyers can choose between rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive configurations.

2024 GMC Yukon Overview
    2024 GMC Yukon SLE
    The 2024 GMC Yukon SLE comes equipped with a robust 5.3-liter V8 engine that makes 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque and rides on 18-inch wheels. The exterior features LED headlights, a tri-zone automatic climate control system, and power-adjustable front seats. The 12-inch digital instrument panel provides essential driving information, while the 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google integration keeps you connected. This system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, making it easy to access your favorite apps and media.

    For safety, the Yukon SLE includes forward collision warning with automatic braking, which helps prevent potential collisions by applying the brakes in certain scenarios. Lane departure mitigation alerts you if you unintentionally drift out of your lane and can automatically steer the vehicle back into position. Parking sensors assist by alerting you to obstacles that may be out of sight when parking.

    Optional features include the GMC Pro Safety Plus package, which enhances safety with blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning systems. You can also opt for a front-row bench seat to increase the seating capacity from eight to nine passengers, making it ideal for larger families or groups.

    2024 GMC Yukon SLT
    The 2024 GMC Yukon SLT builds upon the features of the SLE with several notable upgrades. It includes the GMC Pro Safety Plus package. The SLT rides on 20-inch wheels and comes equipped with leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and a hands-free liftgate. The nine-speaker Bose audio system delivers premium sound quality, and the wireless charging pad ensures your devices stay powered on the go.

    Several optional packages are available for the Yukon SLT. The SLT Luxury package includes driver’s seat memory settings, heated outboard second-row seats, power-folding third-row seats, power-folding exterior mirrors, and a heated power tilt/telescoping steering wheel. This package also upgrades the automatic emergency braking system to operate at higher speeds, helping to prevent collisions by applying the brakes if you don’t respond in time. Additionally, the package includes a surround-view camera system and adaptive cruise control.

    The SLT Premium package comes with all the features of the SLT Luxury package. It adds a panoramic sunroof, enhancing the cabin with natural light and a spacious feel. This package also replaces the standard second-row bench seat with bucket seats, offering a seven-passenger seating configuration for increased comfort and accessibility.

    2024 GMC Yukon AT4
    Designed with off-road enthusiasts in mind, the 2024 GMC Yukon AT4 comes standard with four-wheel drive and a host of features that enhance its off-road capabilities. It includes a unique front bumper that improves the approach angle, allowing for better maneuverability on rugged terrain. The 20-inch dark gray wheels with all-terrain tires provide a robust and stylish look, while front tow hooks and a skid plate add extra protection and utility. The AT4 also features a heavy-duty air filter, adaptive suspension dampers for improved ride comfort and handling stability, and hill descent control for safer downhill navigation. The AT4 includes driver’s seat memory settings, a heated power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, heated outboard second-row seats, and power-folding third-row seats.

    Several upgrade packages are available. The Technology package includes a surround-view camera system and a head-up display, while the AT4 Premium package builds on the Technology package with a panoramic sunroof and power-retractable side steps.

    For the ultimate in luxury and capability, the AT4 Premium Plus package includes everything in the Premium package. It adds an air suspension system that can raise or lower the vehicle’s ride height, an electronic limited-slip differential for improved traction, and advanced trailering technology and equipment. This package replaces the standard second-row bench seat with bucket seats, providing a seven-passenger seating configuration.

    2024 GMC Yukon Denali
    The 2024 GMC Yukon Denali stands out with its upscale design and enhanced performance, building on the features of the SLT model. It’s powered by a potent 6.2-liter V8 engine generating 420 hp and 460 lb-ft. Standard features include 20-inch polished aluminum wheels, adaptive suspension dampers, the contents of the SLT Luxury package (excluding adaptive cruise control), and the Technology package. Also standard is a power-sliding front center console, power-release second-row bucket seats for easier access to the third row, and a premium 14-speaker Bose audio system.

    The available Advanced Technology package includes adaptive cruise control, a digital rearview mirror, an automated parking system, and rear automatic braking. This package also includes Super Cruise, allowing hands-free driving on select highways.

    The Denali Reserve package adds even more luxury and capability, including all the features of the Advanced Technology package. It also includes 22-inch wheels, an air suspension system, a panoramic sunroof, power-retractable side steps, and advanced trailering technology and equipment.

    2024 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate
    The pinnacle of luxury in the Yukon lineup, the 2024 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate comes with standard 4WD and a wealth of high-end features. This range-topping model includes the Denali Reserve package and the Advanced Technology package (excluding Super Cruise). Inside, the Denali Ultimate offers upgraded interior trim, leather upholstery, a massaging function for the front seats, and an 18-speaker Bose audio system. The Denali Ultimate also features a rear-seat entertainment system with dual 12.6-inch display screens, making long journeys more enjoyable.

    While many standard features on the upper trims are optional on the lower trims, the Denali Ultimate is fully equipped. Super Cruise is one of the few options available for this trim.

    Additional options for the Yukon include a turbocharged six-cylinder diesel engine generating 277 hp and 460 lb-ft. The available Max Trailering package includes a trailer brake controller, a heavy-duty cooling system, a two-speed active transfer case (for 4WD models), trailer blind-spot warning, and cameras to assist with hitching a trailer. The Enhanced Trailering Technology package provides additional exterior cameras to monitor a trailer from inside the Yukon, ensuring a safer and more convenient towing experience.
